Here for rides.
you only need a gps when you are lost. So plan routes on paper OS maps, make a route card, stick it on your top tube, and enjoy the ride and watch the scenery not your gps. Use your phone to get a fix when you dont know where you are.

But be warned; the best rides in Pembrokeshire are only to be found when you don't know where you are and when you navigate by "what is down there I wonder?".

Lumia 950XL user, and delighted, since you ask.

The problem I have found is getting the apps to override the system settings for the screensave, which on my windows phone cant be disabled.
Never been able to use any cycling or heart rate software because the phones closes the screen down and requires a password to see the app again.
The contract expires next month, going back to android

Just bailed out on my android. Gps trackers all useless (average kph 120!), so just bought a ten quid top up from tesco, stuck it in my old Windows phone and sorted! All cycle trackers reliable and so much better than android. But that's just my personal experience.

Ride Journal allows you to run the app under the lockscreen, as well as preventing the lockscreen activating (this option's called 'Disable Idle Detection'). It will drain the battery, however, so you'll probably need an external battery.
