I've fitted M+ to all size wheels - 16, 20, 26, 700c. The only ones that defeated hand fitting were 700 x 25c. They are so springy that it's too hard to get to the last bit where it all comes tight and there are a couple of inches left to push over the edge. You can use toestraps or zipties to temporarily hold the tyre on the rim but you won't have them out on the road!

Durano Plus 700 x 23c put up a pretty good fight but are ok if your technique is good

M+ on hybrid no punctures in 3 years

How do you find the ride feel on M+? Have you previously run ordinary Marathon then upgraded to the nuclear option? Do you consider them harsh and sluggish, but worth tolerating - or is it just a case of roadies whingeing just because they're heavy tyres compared with sporty slicks but actually they're fine?

I have a 20” marathon on front wheel of my recumbent in winter. I am able to fit and remove by hand without issue. Never had a puncture over the crappy winter we just had. So I’d happily recommend the Marathon green guard version to you.

Speak for yourself. A few zipties have a permanent presence in my very small tool/spares bag which weighs about 180g (list with weights available on subscription; to which add pump and tube). The zipties weigh total 6g. Last called on to secure rear mudguard after its bridge failed through fatigue.

I did the 2012 Dunwich Dynamo on my commuting bike with 26 x 1.3 M+. Did no prep except pumping up the tyres. Fastest run ever. Got there at about 0420.

They are very heavy and you can feel this when starting off, but they roll well once you're up to speed.

ran slicks on the hybrid till they died of hard work and cuts down to the weave many punctures which I just took in my stride..M+fitted and yes not as responsive but my style of ride on them is commute not sport so happy to cruise they don't seem to be wearing out !! and I had only a year and a half off the slicks .M+ will be my tyre of choice to replace any of my other bikes (Genesis day one 20/Brompton) when I wear them and a small stash of others I have in store out

Marathon Plus on my ebike, 700s tbf and I didnt struggle unduly getting them on, not easy but not fiendishly hard, smaller wheels may well be harder.
I've had 3 punctures with them so dont assume they are 100% bullet proof, but no doubt some if the best.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I thought I would err on the side of caution with the tyres and go for the less bomb proof tyres. They didn't cost a lot of money and I can always change to M+ In the future.:okay:

I had Marathon + on my steel tourer for 2000 miles and disliked the harsh ride. I've gone back to Marathon and the difference is very noticeable.

In my opinion M+ throws away the ride quality benefit of a good steel frame and more.
