Will I need a new helmet?

Had an off yesterday and apart from ladding on my little finger the lid also took a bit of a knock. On closer inspection my helmet has a couple of dents and the plastic has come away a bit. It's a giro prolight and hasn't got any cracks but nit sure if I should be trusting it now. What do you think new one or ok with this one?

New one, that one has done its job.

Not forgetting Giro do a crash replacement warranty, if you have all the required paperwork.

New one it is then. I dont have the paper work for the old one and its still £100 if I did so think I will be going for the specialized propero II

If you can manage with an original Propero, then there are still some around at decent prices. I just bought one (medium) in black from Leisure Lakes for £40 last week.

I was looking at the older one on Evans for £35 but they only had it in small. Wil have a bit more of a look around

As others have said one good bang & it's new helmet time. This includes dropping the helmet about 9" onto a desk or table!

i realised a few days ago that my helmet had had a big crack through the polystyrene, god knows how long for. Ordered myself a nice giro monza from ribble, matt black and red, matches the bike. Im expecting a considerable increase in my average speed due to this.
