My wife loves her hybrid but would like to change to a drop bar road bike.

We have had a look on t'web and seen a few such as Spesh Dolce or the BeOne Jade Race.

Ideally she wants something with carbon fork, triple chainset, preferably 105, and 9kg at most. Not asking for much but hopefully on sale for a max of £700

I've seen the BeOne with Tiagra but not seen much about them.

Anyone seen any bargains now the next season is upon us ?

I`v been looking for a road bike for the mrs and noticed the BeOne bikes on the Merlin site this morning.

http://www.merlincycles.com/beone-jade-sport-ladies-road-bike-63176.html only available in 55cm

http://www.merlincycles.com/beone-jade-race-ladies-road-bike-63154.html only available in 60cm

Sadly, my wife is 5`4" so the 55cm is going to be too big for her.

What size would she be looking for?
If you like Specialized, you might like to know that I have had success in picking up barely used Dolces for around £450 from Ebay. These have all been very small ones! Not sure if that is significant. It is a good bike, but then so is the Trek Silque.

She is 5ft4in.
It is for a present so second hand is not really a choice.
Shame about the BeOne sizes on Merlins though.
Any other bargains ?

yeah triples are only usefull if your bike holds tons of bags and luggage or for personal prefference other than that just go with standard compact

Well, if you are talking presents for the one you love, it just has to be a Bianchi. Nothing more romantic!
