Well if it wasn't for these RLJ'ing cyclists, rules wouldn't be changed to allow left turns at lights, which I believe maybe be along some time in the future. Or idaho stops.

And when those rules are introduced, i reckon all those snobs who used to stop at red will continue since the rules have changed.

The point is the rules changed because of those so-called bobbers.

Hurrah for those unsung heroes.

I was looking for some data regarding the claim by Globalti that cyclists who jumped red lights are the same cyclists who complain about drivers who misbehave. Can it be true that cyclists who don't jump red lights don't complain about misbehaving motorists? I feel there must be some who do and some who don't.
There are too many assumptions in this thread, I need facts:angry:.

It's not often I feel constrained to post insults on CC but you are writing bollocks my friend! I meant that some cyclists jump lights and some cyclists complain about drivers, not the same cyclists! In other words, cyclists as a social group. If you can't appreciate the subtle difference I suggest you stop reading web posts because your online life is going to be one long miserable catalogue of misunderstandings and misguided rants.

I had to cycle across London a couple of times between Victoria and Euston when I lost my driving license. I stopped at every red light but at one the fella behind me started shouting at me to move. I'm a professional driver by trade and I wouldn't jump the lights in my wagon, so why do some cyclists think that it's ok for them to do it? My thought is that I would feel really bad if I did it and some innocent driver hit me, do they not feel that?

Cyclists moan that car drivers don't follow the Highway Code and treat them with the respect they deserve as road users. Then the same cyclists go and jump a red light.
Perhaps you should have said what you meant first time instead of jumping down my throat now:smile:.
