My father in law gave me a lift in his Audi to buy a new car battery the other week and got stopped for speeding in a 30 zone. The copper never even looked in the car as the window went down and just said, "What's the rush sir, late for tee off are we?"

There was the alleged stop in Cambridgeshire, when the young Officer stopped a car and asked the inevitable "Do we think we are Stirling Moss, Sir?"

To which the driver replied "No Officer, I do not think that...... I know for a fact that I am Stirling Moss"
