Well done in completing the Etape. The weather was horrendous and if you flew up that mountain you should feel proud cause it hurt badly

Why not treat flat terrain as a very very easy hill? :okay: You're welcome

My longest ride is 81miles at just over 13mph, that was the Etape Caledonia, ride twice a week, due to working away, so out sat and Sunday, always on my own
Normally a big ride of 40-60, then a shorter one of about 20-30
Going to check if the seat is too low
Also think I need to adopt a more rigid training plan when out riding, at the moment I am just cycling distance and not trying to teach a goal
Thanks for all the replys

Give yourself a break - riding your first Etape at 13mph is none too shabby, especially in that weather. Get more miles under your belt, ride through the winter and consider joining a club if you can then come back next year and smash your previous time! And try not to think too hard about it :okay:
