the whole country's ground to a halt under the worst snow since the dinosaurs, and up here we've got... precisely nowt. Well, there's some on the hills, it's blimming cold and 1/2 a cm fell overnight, but it's mostly gone now. Can we have some, please?

You can have some of mine - I think there is at least two cms here.

I'm not being funny Joe, but what's a PE theory lesson?

Its PE, but you do about the body, so Schema Theory, adams open and closed loop, musles, abotu different sporting organisations and stuff like that.
Its sort of like biology, but its aimed at PE with other things to do with sport added in.
Today was a waste of time, first lesson of photography, the computers didnt work, PE theory was on and did work, then i had photography again but went to the gym. My last lesson of geog, the teacher decided to just go home, so we had sat around in dinner waiting for the lesson to find he has just buggered off home. No note on the door, and it was the other geog teacher that told us about it. Complete waste of time going in today:angry:

I saw one cyclist wearing skiing goggles!

One thing I have learnt today: if you have waterproof trousers with a rear pocket, do the zip up. Otherwise, said pocket will fill with slush sprayed from the rear wheel, giving you one wet and one dry bum cheek. Less than pleasant...

No mudguards!? Silly person...

I'd have thought the proportion of cyclists would fall rather rise. Cancelled buses perhaps?

I think its just how many fewer cars there were on the road... I think more of the cyclists have kept going...

Here was one shot I took on my wanderings... OK two were walking but it is on a slippy hill. And another 2 came past cycling before I made it to the main road.

I think cyclists (or regular ones at least) have a more 'can do' attitude.

Also, if you try going on the bike and it's bad, you can walk back. Try in a car and get stuck, and you have to leave the car where ever it is... And if you're wedded to your car, you may not think it's possible to walk...

Isn't it? I'm almost tempted to stretch my ride home a bit (although it'll be dark soon....)

Took a run to John O' Groats yesterday, my goodness it was quiet there, no walkers, no cyclists, no cars, no photographers, no cafes or trinket shops open, not even a boat in the harbour, it was great.

This is just not fair.....(throws dummy out of the cot)....flippin nothing here. Stayed off the bike Mon/Tues as it was icy/snowy on local roads, Weds rode in, Thurs off as it started snowing (kept the wife happy) - but it was rubbish...back on the bike today...

Mightily not happy...where is our snow.... always seems to miss Stockport - just a few miles up the road, the roads are closed.....booooooooooo
