I've organised a bike ride with a few friends, and it appears to be morphing into a monster!

Originally I stated my intention to head out and a friend asked if he could join me. Of course. Then another friend heard our plans and asked if he could come. Sure. Then another friend did the same. Sure. And she asked if one of her friends could also come. Of course!

Now an email has gone out to around 40 other people.... If you see a peloton moving around the south west it'll be us

I haven't talked to many people who are genuinely interested in the wedding, despite a poll saying that 35% are going to watch it. Maybe I just move in different social circles?

Bikes on the car and heading to Portsmouth with a couple of mates, then over to France for three days cycling along the lanes in Normandy.

yes i suppose we should all be watching the royal wedding ...........but if the sun is shining and we have a day off i think im off out on some lovely quiet roads

Is that that comedy on bbc one with Ricky Tomlinson? I think Friday is going to be a rest and clean the bike day for me; I'm not changing my plans for any bbc sitcom, besides the tv cable doesnt stretch as far as the back garden.

I'm out on bike.

Will watch the edited highlights - though I'm most interested in the wedding dress itself.

It will be wonderful to read about some of Prince Philip's non-PC gaffe's in the press in the future, bless him.

Am I the only one .....

Who is going to a royal wedding party?

No, me too!! We tried to have a proper street party but the council wouldn't let us close the road. Miserable......

Anyway, the houses across the road have HUGE gardens that go back 200 feet into a wooded area so they've taken down the adjoining pence panels between two houses and we have 100 people at a garden party with loads of stuff to do for the kids.

Will be excellent until it chucks it down with rain!!
