I just buy from Halfords, 5 for a tenner (or £9 if a British Cycling member) http://www.halfords.com/cycling/parts/inner-tubes/halfords-presta-bike-inner-tube-700c-x-23-32c

How much are you wanting to pay per tube? All of the big online retailers do bundle deals depending on what you want

If you want a brand, these seem reasonable, just need to buy 3 to get free delivery http://www.wiggle.co.uk/continental-quality-road-long-valve-inner-tube/ They come in 25-32 (20-28 seems rare, only Schwalbe and Specialized, which I don't think are any better than Halfords)

Not sure if the price is the same online but my local decathlon does presta inner tubes for between £1.20 and £2.50 depending on what size of valve stem you want. I use them on my winter bike and they are reasonable quality.

@Salty seadog if you want the 20-28, these are a deal at £15 for 5, with free delivery (but they come in crappy boxes)

Cheers Vickster that looks reasonable and for the exact tubes I've been using.

Don't want to say it but I don't think the fairy knows I have any bikes as It's a rare occurrence she visits. She wandered in and pushed the whyte hybrid over whilst putting air in yesterday and tore the tube at the base of the valve.

Out of interest do people rate halfords tubes then? Or can suggest a brand with a strong reputation?

I've used Halfords, Specialized, Schwalbe and Wilkinsons...the latter are rubbish. The rest seem much of a muchness for the few visits I've had, I like the Halfords ones as the long valve option is the same price and easy to transport in the shrink wrap and cheap. Good puncture protection in the tyres is also important. Are you still running the rubbish Maxxis on the Whyte - if so I'd swap to something else

Decathlon charge quite a lot for postage, of course not an issue if a store nearby

I think the Halfords tubes are better than the Specialized ones and a hell of a lot cheaper which is an added bonus.

Weight or pack size is as good a guide as any.

If the tube folds up small for its size, it's likely to be thin and offer no protection.

No tube will offer a lot of puncture protection, but my local bike shop has had good feedback from customers who have bought tubes from them which are heavier and supposed to be puncture resistant.

There is a Wilkinsons nearby

The bike shop has also had several people in who have bought tubes from Wilkinsons and found them poor.
