Which tyres..
Hi guys, im a bit inexperienced in this cycling game. Im wanting some new tyres for my road bike. All I know is that ive got 25s on at the moment so would like to stay with this size. I've scoured the internet at various bike sites but choosing some tyres for all year use is a nightmare as they all sound great to me, but which ones do I go for. Please help..

Are you after something with more puncture protection or faster grippier ones?

I asked the same question a few days ago and have now brought conti gp4000s folding tyres £47 from Evans
but are you happy? or have they not come yet?
Cheers Ed

Conti 4000s are great tyres but I wouldn't use mine in winter TBH.

I pretty much stick to Conti Gatorskins nowadays, and although some say they can be skittish in the wet this is not something I've ever experienced. Horses for courses and each to their own an all that.

As for slime tubes, not for me thanks. Tries them once on an old MTB and took them out after one ride due to the extra weight, it really surprised me how noticeable it was.

Good tyres, decent tubes and correct tyre pressures should be all you need.

what about Durano's

Yup - would get my vote.
Three models, from "fastest" to "most puncture resistant" in this order:
Durano S
Durano
Durano Plus

I'm running the regular Durano in a 25mm on the back of my best bike at the moment after getting fed up with Michelin Pro4 Endurance wearing out much quickly than their prdecessor (Krylion) which was my previous favourite.
