I am thinking of changing from my race/road bike to a more relaxed/comfortable but lightweight road bike. I want a good one......say £750.00-£1250.00(ish).
Main requirements are comfort/lightweight/speed........and must look GOOOOOOD:becool:.
My present bike has carbon forks & Shimano Tiagra so I want better if poss......it's my retirement present:highfive:.
Thanks

PX Ti Sportive ? Bit out of your budget I know, but stunning value IMO - if you OK with SRAM double tap?
Or get the frame for £800 and swop bits over from your existing bike?

Why? Titanium is said to give a smooth comfortable ride. My experience with a more audax-oriented bike (VN Yukon - Ti Frame/Carbon forks) is that it soaks up the bumps even better than my old steel tourer.

Thanks for that.
It is over my budget but worth investigating. My initial thought is.....I would like something with a bit more 'bling'. Plus (at may age-65) a lifetime guarantee is not that good an offer.:giggle:

All carbon then ? The PX RT-57 ?
Or the new Ribble Sportive ?
Neither of them really "bling" I suppose, but it's all too easy to "pay for a name" with one of the bigger brands.
That PlanetX looks the part and a decent price......I wouldn't buy anything at that price without trying it but Rotherham is only 90 minutes away.
Thanks

in my humble opinion BLING, not that, that is important... erm:blush:
