Having spent my lunch hour browsing the LBS I have become slightly confused. Some of the saddles on display - SelleRoyal and Madison - were categorized by riding position plus male/female. They had saddles for upright, 60 degree, 45 degree and 30 degree riding positions.

Anyway, I think I'll have to get my broad buttocks measured as my saddle is agony.

Hello all, I am a new member, having been introduced to the forum by the lovely Arch on Saturday when we cycled the Big G together. I am not quite sure about how this all works but I would like to add on to the first question here. I am looking for a saddle for girlies and wondered is any fellow ladies out there have any recommendations, although I know it will probbaly end up being trial and error as I choose the seat that fits my tush! A few starting points would be much appreciated though.

I am currently using Fizik but that just doesn't seem to agree with me.

Cheers

Saddle choice is a very personal thing and it pays to try as wide a range as you can to find the particular saddle that suits you best. Keep in mind that you will likely need a different saddle for different bikes (MTB, road etc.)

I am bowled over by the comfort of the SMP4Bike range from Selle SMP. The cutout instead of just a hole is great for me - I sit forward a lot.

Appreciating that they aren't going to as comfortable for absolutely everyone else as they are for me, I do think they should be on the list of models / makers that you look at next time you are considering a change.
