As long as I breathe, I attack.
Subscribed to C+ because of the free windproof.

It has got a little better lately i think , at least you get 1 review in the issue of a bike at the lower end of the market .

I buy the occasional cycling active as well and tbh next next sub will be based on what freebies are on offer when it is due.

I'm the same as Cyberknight...subscribed to Cycling Plus a while back now cos it had a free waterproof jacket. Buy Cycling Active but waiting for the best freebie deal to come around until I subscribe to it. Really like both mags but it does amuse me when they 'get real' and look at the lower end of the market...they're still looking at £500+ and for some that would represent a 'dream bike' price bracket. When I bought my Sirrus Elite all of the people at work (non-cyclists I must add) thought I was crazy for spending so much...If only they knew how much you could spend!

The Comic, ProCycling and from time to time Top Velo. Whenever I go to Spain I pick up whatever cycling mag happens to be in the kiosk.

Sea Angling magazine. I can drool over all the carbon rods and kit I cannot afford, and envy the expert fishermen who catch lots of huge fish. pretty much the same as cycling magazines.

I bought my first cycling mag this week - Cycling Weekly. It just made me realise how expensive things can get. There were front lights in there that cost more than my road bike.

Just got a notice to re-new my subscription to Cycling Active in the post. In the same post I got my final issue for the subscriprrtion period and noticed that the offer for new subscriptions in the magazine was a pair of expencive (to me ) gloves and that was at the same price as I was offered by the letter but with out the gloves. So I might re-subcribe to get the gloves but it will be as a new subscription. Oh by the way I also read Cycling + but in the libari.

Velovision. Beware seriously not a racing magazine. However I've spent a fortune over the years on bikes and trikes reviewed by them.

 As a fisherman, I was thinking of the same analogy recently re fancy carbon rods etc. Have had various coarse angling mag subscriptions bought for me but have canned them all now as I simply think that there is only so much you can write about fishing before it becomes repetitive. Cycling is a little different for me as there are 2 sides to the magazines; those that focus on the sport of cycling and those that cater for cyclists. I usually buy 1 or 2 of the former before the big tours especially the TdF and generally find road racing an interesting sport to read about. Re the latter, I find there's only a fraction of the mags that are relevant to a mr average like me interested in cycling and generally keeping fit. And certainly they offer very little, if anything, over the guidance etc. I can find on here and elsewhere online. Appreciate they are trying to cater for a broad range of cyclists at various levels so it's not easy. Still buy the odd one through when I fancy a read.
