Which ladies hybrid?

My wife is interested in getting a bike. It will be used for nipping around town and recreational rides, maybe on some unpaved towpaths sometimes. It doesn't have to be bling or hipster or some kind of lifestyle statement, just reasonably light and reliable. I was thinking of something like a Dawes Discovery 201, about £300 or preferably less. I would be really grateful for your suggestions.

My wife has the Giant Liv and it seems to be a decent bike and it is much lighter than my specialized hybrid.
