Relatively new to cycling, so please forgive the rambling nature/mind-dump questioning/lack of specific terminology!
Currently on a Charge Plug SS (my brothers) - I do like the body position, with the seat the same height as the handles.
I'm looking for a hybrid or light MTB with an option to fit a rear rack:
Proposed use:
Commuting 44ish miles a week, 90% roads
Take rack and panniers for beginner touring/bush-biking, unlikely to do more than 40/50 miles per day (at this stage anyhow)
To be able to do some offroad, but not in the sense that shocks will be required - towpaths, the circular route around Hatchmere Lake (if you know it, Delemere Forest in the NW) for example.
£300 or less.
So far I think the Dawes Discovery 201EQ best fits my requirements, but I'm open to any suggestions.
Cheers
Colin
