Imagine going out with the club on a ride. Making a huge mess of something and taking a few riders down with you. Easy to do some damage to about 10k of bikes. The insurance alone makes it worth joining. Just one thing though, the CTC membership gives you the same insurance but costs quite a bit more. Don't see it myself.
