There is the Rider 20E which takes cad/sp and hr currently £85, this version also does elevation, unlike my R20 its pretty basic in term of display, though scrolling through fields gives quite a bit of info, battery will last all day has a back light and records gps tracks, which cn be uploaded to Brytons site and strava, not sure if you upload from Bryton to strava you used to, but as I only us it as a backup to my 705 I just record the data on Bryton.
I think it can use separate sensors i.e. sp and/or cad, as well as dual sensors. I got my R20 in 2013 and apart from the mounting lip braking sometime towards the end of last year, and having to watch the memory as it does fill up it performed exceptionally well, its not as easy to use in terms of computer connectivity as say the garmin range, but its not difficult.
Example of Brytons website
It will also give you an idea of Fat Cals burned as well as Carbs if used with a H.R.M. though it is only a guide.

I can't seem to get the cadence sensor to work. Any ideas? I saw a YouTube clip and setup but won't seem to keep it registered- thanks

I had the same issue initially.

You need the computer and cadence sensor on the same side of the bike.

And/or you need to put the candence sensor on the downtube rather than the chainstay.

Either or both of these should sort it.

The sensors basically need to be pointing at the computer. And the closer they are to it, the better.

I bar mount my computer and I have the cadence sensor on the downtube, on the same side of the bike. Also, I have the speed sensor on the fork, again on the same side of the bike.

Plus, if you are using other electrical gear (e.g. lights), they can interfere with the signal. I moved my cheap Cree XML T6 Chinese light to the other side of the bars, and kept the battery wire for this light away from the computer. I still have a Cateye flasher beside the computer, and it doesn't cause a problem.

i am the same wouldnt risk my iphone.
I opted to get a Garmin 810, got a candence and speed monitor for it as well as heart rate, all hook up easily and it connects to my Strava via bluetooth to the phone.
Really good little computer in my opinion hasnt let me down yet
