Which Bike

Need advice on choosing a new bike. I currently have Flight T3, but want drop bar bike for "sportives" must be comfortable. Thing of Ribble, Focus or Kuota all around £1000 to £1200 pounds. Carbon frames seem to be getting thumbs up as l am told aluminium transmits road vibrations.

Ribble have been recommended to me and i think for a grand you can get a nice carbon number! I have recently looked for a bike around the £1000, test rode loads including an 08 Specialized Tarmac and a Roubaix (both Carbon), a Trek 1.7, Cannondale Six and CAAD 9, I was looking for a comfortable drop bar bike for long commutes and longer weekend rides (kind of solo sportives).

Eventually I rode a 2009 Specialized Allez Elite and whether it was the actual bike shop setting it up for me better or me just being odd but I found it much more comfortable than the others and I have not looked back! But its don to personal choice at the end of the day, to me it doesnt matter what is written on the side, its about how it feels.
