I passed an old boy on a lovely old Mercian today. I don't know what was creaking more, his knees or the bike. I hope I end up like that.

For me looks wise it has to be a classic steel lugged frame.

Eye of the beholder etc etc...but I belong to the less is more camp. This Scott here to me is just about perfect. There's not line out of place.

Eye of the beholder and all, but to me there could never be a better-looking bike.
It's elegant, minimalist, and does its sole job - going very fast - very well.
It's a beautiful piece of engineering.
It's simply perfect.

And I'd give major bodily organs to get one.

Was OK until the UCI changed the rules on design. I loved the way yuppie bankers tried to buy one of these thinking they could use it for leisure rides.
