cripes - how the hell did he land on that irritating persona? - there do seem to be slew of such irritating camp presenters - loved kenneth williams as a young kid but occurred to me recently that he spawned a bunch of blokes to irritate me as an adult until i reach for the offswitch. If he's unwell, hope he gets well soon.

Its the new radio 1 for peiple who listened to radio 1 up until the mid 80's. Meanwhile the actual radio 1 just sounds like a car alarm going off.
