Where would you fit your back light if you had one of these saddle bags?

I have quite a large saddlebag with a leather loop on the front. I wrap the rubber loop/bracket thingy on my rear light through it. I make sure the light's pointing slightly downwards though.

On the saddlebag. (plus a 2nd back light on the seat-post near the clamp)

Just to give you an idea (if you havent thought of it already...) Heres how I attach my fibre flare -- I normally use just one but ive put two on just to show where they can be mounted. The top flare is a 'shorty' while the other is the standard version so is a bit longer, same idea works for the Carradice pendle and probably other similar saddlebags. Used it like this for my failed FnRttC ride and also the DD.

I would like to see a 'pulse' mode for the fibre flare but as it stands, they arent really super bright anyway and when attached to my bike using the SQR mount, the bag is always angled towards the ground a little so the light isnt pointed directly at the folks who might be behind me.

My lights are cheapos from Decathlon. One is attached to the saddle bag with an "electricians plastic tie". Doesnt look pretty but it doest the job.
The 2nd one is at the back of my helmet (that would be my bike helmet before anyone asks  ).

I personally use a Fibre Flare on my carradice bags when I have reason to attach them to the bike. Works a treat.

Works very well

The other alternative is a "handle bar accessory mount

These can be fitted to the seatpost below the bag and work well as a light mount
