Ah but I don't. I live on the Wirral. Which to the uninitiated is either Liverpool or not Liverpool. I may start a thread.

Oxford isn't officially a London Airport.
Oxford airport isn't an airport.

(Speaking of small airports, I think the first time I went to Paris in the very early days of budget airlines I flew from Luton to Deauville, a 2-hour bus ride from the French capital. Deauville is not much closer to Paris than it is to London.)

Who 'officially' designated Southend or Luton London Airports?

Oxford does though have the handicap of not (presently) having scheduled services. Neither does Farnborough which calls itself TAG London Farnborough or London Biggin Hill.

My parents moved out of London. Then London expanded and engulfed them, a bit like a giant star swallowing its planets.
