Oxford airport isn't an airport.

(Speaking of small airports, I think the first time I went to Paris in the very early days of budget airlines I flew from Luton to Deauville, a 2-hour bus ride from the French capital. Deauville is not much closer to Paris than it is to London.)

Oxford Airport is actually in Kidlington which is outside the Oxford ring road. So to my mind, Kidlington is not Oxford. I think I'll start a new thread.

Oxford does though have the handicap of not (presently) having scheduled services. Neither does Farnborough which calls itself TAG London Farnborough or London Biggin Hill.

Nobody, officially.

The airlines' trade association, IATA, class them as airports in the "London Metropolitan" area, but that's purely a marketing description.

The most probable fate of the planet is absorption by the Sun in about 7.5 billion years, after the star has entered the red giant phase and expanded beyond the planet's current orbit.
