When is next Lidl / Aldi cycling helmet out?!

So I've been eager to get a new cycling helmet from Lidl / Aldi and been checking on their website religiously every Sunday and Thursday!

I just realised my helmet is over 4 years old... Lidl / Aldi quality is good enough for me, I'm not a brand snob or in no way interested in spending £50+ for a helmet.

When oh when are their cycling kit week?! I thought it's usually Spring / Mid-Summer time...

Sincerely,

One impatient Lidl / Aldi bargain hunter.

(go on, shred me into pieces for risking my life for £9.99 helmet bargain; a perfect thread to lash out from your unsatisfied life and cyber-bully me :boxing:).

RIght I might venture out from Lidl / Aldi and have a go for Planet-X Carnac! Wife and I have small-medium size (current Aldi one states small 54-59cm) so that's great to hear the sizing guide is correct on Carnac.

The only model available in small-medium is XC /MTB one (what's up with the rear "spoiler"?!) but at £7.99, I don't mind!

OK I pulled the trigger on Carnac.

So long my old German friends, see you in few years time. 😂

Don't know if it's the B word or just general economics, but the Aldi/Lidl bargains to me seem nowhere as good as they were a few years back.

Simple inflation I expect....

Don't know about other cycling kit from them but a couple years ago I bought some winter gloves from Aldi for £6.99 and they are fantastic! Unless it's well sub zero they've been really good and amazingly waterproof as there's a thin plastic membrane in there.
Inevitably not seen them stock them again as if so I'd buy more in a heartbeat.

Agree with the noticeable change in their cycling kit quality in since post-covid. I still wear "hooded" (why?) reflective softshell, gloves, hiking shorts/trousers combo from pre-covid sales but the shorts, sports tops and full length hiking trousers post-covid sales have all worn out within a year or two.

I missed out on the ski gloves which I'm keen to get a pair for those sub-0 condition. I also have the glove @Binky mentioned and they are good down to 2c and it just doesn't cut it for me.

Definitely a good source of cycling merchandise but I do check in stores before I commit to buying any. 👍
