When dose the addiction stop for cycling??????

Hi All,

Some of you reading this will know me from my many questions when starting out, I have had my bike 3 weeks now (Allez 18) and been out 5 times and I love it, I want more gear, better shoes already a computer ect ect ect.

Dose this stop or jsut get more exspensive, i play football every sat and one of teh cheapest sports with 2 pairs of £100 boots, nothing like cycling as now the gf and kids want bikes to come with me.

I still dont have any propper lycra either lol

I was going to suggest the addiction will stop when you have ridden along every road in the United Kingdom. But there is France, Belgium, Italy and all the other nations whose people ride bikes.

football? game played with thing that you kick? by people who can't cycle? is that the one?

football - one round thing shared between 22 people on a small flat field
cycling - two round things per person moving at speed on a range of different terrains - so it must be more skilful (and is definitely more expensive!)

doesn't happen often but the third consecutive day of riding in rain with not quite dry kits tends to start to hack me off

Every road in every weather condition!

80% of my riding is commuting on the same road and I have never had two journeys the same yet!

Just a tip, that won't help with trying to control the desire to buy more bits and stuff, but it is good.
