well they are £26 at the moment - so i will keep watching - this is a set of ksyrium elites - so single wheels go £100+ so if the rear turns out to be a dud - then just sell it :rolleyes:

it's hard to tell - saw a set of ksyrium sl's go sub £150 about a month back - looked new - just had no money at the time :sad:

IMO, there's no way that chip has done 700 miles. It's completely clean, no marks that the brake blocks have caught on it, no mud or grime, and it would be difficult, again IMO, to avoid it with the pads.

I'm not so sure - i've got a mtb wheelset with a much bigger chip - i was using rim brakes which I set up accordingly to miss the hole - after about 200miles (off road + drops + tree roots...) it did fail (but still ride-able - slowly), so I cleaned it up (soap and water) and it looked new - but anyway I've decided to give these wheels a miss!
