No didnt go there went to Pedal Power in West Calder. My mate went to Wheelcraft and also very pleased with the wheels he had built.
Pedal Power is a lot closer to me that why I chose there and guys were really knowledgable.

ok - i'm a largish bloke being 5ft 10" and 17st - but i'm not what you call fat - i do have a lil around the belly area that i'm getting rid of slowly

but i have 26" muscular thighs

what wheels would you recommend me for my giant defy - hate the standard giant wheels

at the moment i am looking at mavic open pro's built on dura ace hubs in 32 hole configuration

after a bit of research it looks like i cant use the dura ace 7800 as they are for 10speed cassettes only - damn and blast and buggery

so looks like a need some more money as i like the look of the hope pro 3's

Looking back through his posts, looks like another troll looking for an argument anywhere he can find it.

Least you have forgotten what you wrote in your OP I paste it again here for you.

So.... ive got £200 for a set of road wheels.

My problem is im 20st.

At the minute im stuck between fulcrum 5s and some harry rowland tiagra/open pros.

The fulcrums only have 24 spokes at the rear but have sealed bearings....

The harry rowlands have 36 spokes but are cup and cone...

Advice please or other suggestions.

You have a problem. You weigh 20 stones by your own admission.

You want to purchase some new wheels.

My advice to solve your problem was to go on diet to lose the weight and then buy yourself new wheels which would then give you a wider selection as you would be lighter. Also doing this would act as an incentive and give you a reward for when you have reduced your weight.

Quite why you feel then need to be so rude and accuse me of being a troll when I have taken the trouble to reply to your request for advice or other suggestions just shows you have no manners. I don't see your post thanking everyone for their replies.
