You know what? You could do with a new bike.

Oh, and I have My Bike which is aluminium - Vitus 979, a legend in its own lunchtime and, I always thought, a stunningly nice piece of kit, until I got hold of an old Dawes 653 frame and built My Fixie, which has since become to all intents and purposes My Bike (with My Bike now becoming My Other Bike), not to be confused with My Other Bike (which I guess is soon to become My Other Other Bike...I hope you're keeping up here) which is also steel - but very good steel, being a Koga.

My conclusion? The Vitus is nice and sharp and light, but there's a zing to the 653 that it just don't have.

Wow, I am a little surprised that so many are running such an obsolete material.:blush: I had expected that alu would dominate, but thought that steel would have been a minority material.
