Commercial news is as commercial news does.

But GB News really do push the boat out with their mind numbing crap! I've heard them so many times I even repeat their words in my head before they say them on my laptop!!

I've never been able to tolerate background music or chat- whatever is on, I'm listening to every note/word. It's a pain.

I used to like Radio 3, Radio 4 and World Service, but they are changing and so am I.

So mostly it's quiet now. I have a subscription to YouTube music and explore new music for when I'm cooking.

Barnet,
I was an avid R2 listener, but the last couple of years I got a bit fed up with it being a celebrity based station, with only a few good presenters, and the playlists of music they had. I do listen to a few programmes on R2, like the blues show.
So I moved over to Boom radio. I like the style of the presenters and the music they play.
I also really like R4 from the beeb.

Damn, Talk TV/Radio is changing its weekend format AGAIN! All the weekend programs and their presenters are either being moved to midweek slots, or are having their contracts ended. Sadly and annoyingly they are replacing these programs with totally boring football and equally boring other sports shows, in the guise of "A fantastic weekend of Premier League Football, alongside other major sporting events", but in reality they are just joining up with Talk Sport radio every weekend! I don't mind some sport, but I don't want saturation levels of the stuff!! Many viewers/listeners to Talk TV have phoned it to vent their spleen about this what they see as cost cutting disguised as "A brand new exiting format for your weekend"!!

I watched Talk TV last night. Well, there wasn't a hint of Premier League football on either their TV or radio broadcasts! I noticed it was just repeat shows from Friday night on the TV, so I tuned into Talk radio which was broadcasting the same as Talk TV, but obviously only the sound. On Friday night Ash Gould James Whale's co-host even said "I'll see you tomorrow night for a great night of Premier League football', but no, no football at all! 🤔 At 1am the usual continuous repeats of short clips from their shows, they normally have on midweek nights started and will continue to I think 7am when their live broadcasts start again till 10pm.

Had absolute 80’s on while working in the house, no Jason Manford, what a difference, someone else was standing in, and was allowed to select the records played, introduced them, no inane waffle, if only the station owners would take the hint

I didn't get up till mid-day so I don't know what they had on this morning, but from when I tuned in at 2pm they had repeats from a few weeks ago and now they're showing repeats from a month or so ago.

There are more TV/radio options available than anyone can hope to consume.

Why get hung up on some random channel? Especially when it's completely within your control what you watch or listen to in your own home.

They've even knocked the three hours long Sunday night sports program on the head, featuring fans calling in via their laptops and ex football referees, ex cricket pros, ex golf pros etc as guests on the show.
