It was a battle….he lived there a year, & I think survived mostly on veg pizzas & a vege Taco Lyonnais - the French love their meat, & Lyon prides itself on it!

Le Limonade Marionette was good enough to visit twice….
Another spot looks to now be permanently closed (it was a few years ago).

Pizzas and Chinese restaurants are always a good bet. My wife talks about finding a Chinese restaurant in France to get vegetarian food. Having spent a little time in Hong Kong, she was happy to order in Chinese, but the person behind the desk could only speak French. Had to get help from the chef out the back.

Very nearly got demolished until it was grade II listed a couple of years back. Visited when the mrs was studying there, some great buildings, and the cathedral, wow!

That Durham Uni building is in a terrible state. There is rust showing though all over the place from the reinforcement. I got a look at it when my daughter was studying there, and my opinion hasn't changed. It should never have been listed, and the world would be better off without it.

I am not sure what the large, concrete cooling fins are for.
Cooling the passions of architectural critics?

United National Movement Headquarters
United National Movement government focused on urban transformations after the rise to power, which demonstrates how architecture served as a tool for selectively rewriting Georgia’s contemporary “European identity”. Its headquarters, a clear demonstration of the importance they place on architecture are situated in Tbilisi, Georgia and its unique architecture and concrete blades are something to behold.

Not sure this quite counts as brutalist but Coventry Cathedral is magnificent, particularly inside. The acoustics are
fabulous too, as when we were
there their organist was playing unlike in most churches it was incredibly clear despite the music's modern complexity
