Some new handgrips/bar ends for my mountain bike. (The MTB has been out of action for a couple of years and I want to fettle it over the winter and do more offroad riding next year.) A bargain at less than £5 new, on eBay!
The cast bar-ends are slightly heavy but I weighed the grips/ends and compared them to the old parts that I have taken off and there is only 60 grams in it overall (290 g vs 230 g).

They actually do that? With us, they just got to the end of the letters sequence and restarted from the first letter. We had three complete sets and then they just stopped. (We had a TV licencence the whole time and tried telling them after letter 2 or 3. I was looking forward to taking it to court.)I miss the TV License Hitlers. Always a source of unexpected entertainment as they try to doorstep you.

I got the idea from my Dad who didn’t even have a TV, but was regularly doorstepped.

This morning, the postie brought me these (new bike, new essentials...although I'm hoping never to use them):
