Depends on the shape of your normal glasses. Coverage of the eye really, will get less watering with a wrap around style...mine water like anything when it's cold and/or windy - stop grit better too
I swear by castelli nanoflex - arm/leg warmers, bibshorts and their gabba jersey.. I wear a base layer under the gabba.. I'm warm and dry and don't need a jacket
I have bought all sorts of Winter gloves but nothing that has been breathable and water tight.
2 years ago I bought these overmitts for a motorcycle trip where it poured down all week. My hands stayed warm and dry. Since then I have used them for bad weather cycling. I wear marino gloves underneath. They are first class. I am not a cycling snob so the aesthetics dont bother me.
Eg. road/mtb, distance/time, perceived effort. That will help peeps give you some advice, in particular about waterproof/windproof and close fit/flappy fit garments.
i mainly do road and cycle path riding, also plainning to do some cummuting to work.
work is 1.5 miles away and my leisure rides can be any distance/time at relaxed pace, distance will increase as i get fitter.
i prefer relaxed fitting clothing.
I've got some of the Altura Night Vision waterproof winter gloves and they are fine down to about 3 degrees. Below that, the ski gloves come out. I wear Altura Winter Cruiser tights when it gets below ten degrees or so which have been fine even in the rain. They weren't very expensive. I do like the Aldi winter jacket for warmth and water resistance too.
