Google tells me I also travelled 2000 miles by train.

Actually, I just Googled my trips to Exeter. I reckon I did about 2,500 miles going there and back 4 times this year, which is ~10% further than I cycled.

Ah ... cycling more than I travel by train. That would be a challenge that I don't think I'd be up for.

I'd like to cycle at least double my rail travel distance in 2024.

A pretty dismal 1645 miles with 105,967ft climbing especially when 909 and 64,940 was the ebike on its 136 short vertical U shaped (weekly at most) commutes and longer shopping trips

2221miles / 3574km - almost 300miles short of last year. I'm blaming the appalling weather of the last couple of months, plus health issues.
However finally managed a short ride yesterday to finish off 2023, and another today as a start towards my 2024 target of a modest 3000 miles

Despite a difficult year with a number of life events I did get over my long dragged out issue with pericarditis in late winter 2023. So I managed 4715 miles. With age creeping up I now have an eBike to help on the up parts. So I did a further 48 miles assisted. So if it's allowed I could claim 4763 but I won't.

Very late to this but my tally for 2023 was 2105 miles. My lowest for about 10 years. Living and working in The Lakes for a summer season was great but I didn't get out on the bike nearly as much as I would have liked.

Just under 464 miles ridden in 2024 at the time of writing which isn't too bad.
