^_^ I jest of course.
my sister and i did have a Golly' each - i don't recall their names but i believe 'that sort of thing' is now rather frowned upon in today's society.

A memory stirs...I had one! Ya! A stuffed toy, I'd forgotten about.

No idea, none, nada, natch. Son1 has a worm called Spooky though.
Mebendazole should help.

I had a knitted Golly, my Mum knitted him. I had no idea it was meant to represent a person of any race, I just assumed a Golly was a thing like 'a teddy', a mythical creature of some sort (yes, I know a bear isn't mythical, but most teddies are pretty far removed from the real thing, like a rag doll is removed from a real person).

that's all i can recall ever thinking about my golly - that it was a big teddy/rag doll. who knew, eh?! i'm pretty sure my sister will still have hers, she never chucked anything out. i shall find out and ask if she remembers what we called them. i know for a fact she's still got her womble. i have no idea when mine went missing

you have just reminded me that I still have my old Busby stuffed toy and several plastic bags with the Bubsy on it.... (BT mascot from before privatisation for those not knowing ;))> Strangely he was called, wait for it.... Busby.

My daughter has a stuffed dog from there she calls 'Kipper' - got a heart in it - the works.

We had to make something that was stuffed in Home Economics at School. Most people made remotely useful things like cushions and so on, but not me, I made a sausage dog.......... But not just any sausage dog.... Oh no!..... A Flat Sausage* Dog!!...... Called Spot!

My Mum still has him too.

* - The pattern was for a flat dog outline, and for those who don't know, 'Flat Sausage' is.... well, its rectangular slices of processed sausage 'meat'!

Actually, thats a lie, he might have been called 'Stanley' after Flat Stanley, but I can't really remember now. All I know is that he had a large spot sewn on his side, and when I got him home, my mum made a pleated tail for him!!
