Lol - pretty much.

Over the years I have accumulated about 200 or so and have got a fair way through digitising them for my Sonos system. I tend to use Spotify too and Last.FM so don't really buy stuff any more.

Saying that I bought another CD last night... Take That's new album (I think) again for the Wife (honest Guv!!) for this Christmas.

I have bought two CDs this year: The Liberty of Norton Folgate by Madness, and Vivian Girls by Vivian Girls. The Madness CD was a bit disappointing, althought it had a couple of decent tracks. The Vivian Girls had one stand-out track. I'm just glad I heard a new band I liked.

I think you should persevere with Norton Folgate. At first I was a bit umm but a year or more later I rate it a classic.

Downloaded it today. Only half way through my first listen but sounds promising.

Tighten Up Vol2 - Trojan Records

I remember getting a copy of that from a jumble sale when I was about 14. Magic. No idea what happened to it. Forgot all about it until John Peel played a track from it a number of years later. Then forgot all about it again until I read this post.

I'll buy it again when I get home.

Oh come on, Rosenrot was pretty dire, mostly made up of discarded tracks from Reise Reise . Liebe is far better, though still nowhere near as good as Herzeleid or Sehnsucht.

Each to their own! I liked Reise Reise and Rosenrot, I just felt like some of the Liebe tracks weren't as punchy. Except Ich tu dir weh.

Nope, that's fair enough.
Even though I am more of a fan of their earlier material. Mein Teil from Reise Reise imo is the best song the band has ever recorded.
