Watched The Crow Girl - 6 part series on Paramount+. Quite dark but enjoyed it.

Watched "The Castaways" last night - only a 5 part mini series (50 min episodes) but it did cover quite a bit of ground. If you liked "Lost" then this could be for you, but obviously it gets to the point and fairly quickly rounds it up, unlike Lost.
Sheridan Smith plays a good role. The ending is a bit silly but it does tie everthing up nicely.

IMDb give it a 5.8 but I'd give it a 6.4

Watched Treadstone as it was advertised me on Amazon. They forgot to mention that IT WAS CANCELLED after series 1 with nothing tied up or resolved.
It's like reading a book to find the second half is missing. Very annoying. Avoid.

I had that with "The last man on Earth". The first 1 (or was it 2?) series were excellent. Then I learned that the next series had been cancelled.

Bloody Mary with Lucy Worsley.

Strangely attractive, (Lucy, not Mary).

What? Just me then?

we have just watched that tonight as well

and yes I sort of quite fancy her too, although when I pointed this out to my wife she wondered if my feelings was some sort of throw back to watching the magic Roundabout, as Lucy reminded her of Florence with her big boots, from that very program

but back to the program - they were seriously weird times, in the 1530s Henry 8th was outlawing catholics and burning nuneries, 1550s it was his daughter mary burning the protestants, then by 1560 his other daughter liz was back to burning the catholics
Sundays must of been very traumatic days - bit of a lottery, go to the wrong church and get burnt at the stake

some family

and then did James I or was it the IV arrive on the scene and started burning random women for being witches

there was a lot of burning went on, no wonder the climate has changed

I'm halfway through The Penguin, a backstory to one of Batman's most villainous foes. I still can't believe it's Collin Farrell playing him. Whilst it's an enjoyable story about gangsters vs gangsters... it really doesn't feel like it's all happening in Gotham City. Only the scenes in Arkham Asylum seem to belong in Batman's world... the rest is just too normal, which is letting it down.
