What TV are you watching?

My partner has got me into murder dramas, and at the moment we're enjoying:

White House Farm (ITV)
The Dublin Murders (BBC) on catch-up (shown last year I think)
We're also eagerly anticipating the new series of Line of Duty, which sources say will be out in 2020 some time

Did anyone watch the documentary about the Tyne and Wear Metro last night? I'd be interested to get an impression from someone who isn't as biased as I am as a daily user.

Quite enjoyed it. The trains are getting on now aren't they.

That's an understatement, they're 40 years old with an original intended life of 30.

Nobody is surprised any more when a train is withdrawn having developed a fault.

I liked both Hogfather and Going Postal. The Colour of Magic cut too much out plus CoM has never been a favourite of the series for me.

Ah, Pacers. Bane of my commuting life for several years. Hateful contraptions. I learned quickly why people would huddle in the middle of the carriage rather than sit near the doors in winter months...

Anyway... Caught up with The Pottery Throwdown last night. If you ever want to see a grown man crying over a cup, this is the show for you. Curiously compelling stuff.

I wouldn't consider myself a fan but I do like the fact that his stuff is different and quirky.

Keith is such a nice bloke. although the stuff they make is generally useless.

He's so passionate, it's great. I remember the first time I stumbled across it he was losing his mind over a plate or something and I was hooked.

After seeing both, I do (personally) prefer Charles Dance as Havelock Vetinari
