I too watched the last episode of Bodyguard. Fair play to those who like it, but I genuinely don't understand the hype. Plot holes you could drive a bus through and (predictably) set up for a second series, which is a personal annoyance so not entirely fair criticism.

Agreed re the hype. Lovely Wife persevered so I 'was there' whilst it was on and it was somewhat lame.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Story of Pulp's Common People... some people find Jarvis incredibly annoying and pretentious, but I think he's quite charming and humble. Some of his comments made me laugh out loud, eg. the great thing about this Casio keyboard is it does everything for you, which is really handy when you don't know what you're doing. The look of despair on his face when he heard the unaccompanied vocal part of Common People for the first time in ten years was priceless.

The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel on Prime

"It's the late 1950s and Miriam "Midge" Maisel has everything she has ever wanted -- the perfect husband, two kids and an elegant apartment on New York's Upper West Side. Her seemingly idyllic life takes a surprising turn when she discovers a hidden talent she didn't previously know she had -- stand-up comedy."

I'd skipped past this on the screen previously but when it won an Emmy for 'Outstanding Comedy Series', I added it to the watch list to try.

It's really, really good. Snappy dialogue, well acted and very funny.

The Bodyguards replacement on BBC1, The Cry.
It's everything The Bodyguard wasn't. Slow, turgid, depressing, Jesus it was depressing. I know that's a central point to the whole thing (I think) but that bloomin baby crying did my head in.
I won't be following it up and watching again, although I suspect my wife will.

Usually enjoy watching this.

But not last nights offering, a couple travelling around in a converted bus for a year in New Zealand.

Seemed more like a sabbatical to me.

I thought that.... Its not exactly living in the wild is it !
Previous episodes have been better.
