As long as I breathe, I attack.
Cable for the new xml t6 light is reaaaaaaaaallllly long, so long i can put the battery in the pannier but it means the light unit has to stay on the bike as the cable is cable tied ( Doh !) to the frame which means when i want to take it off to change bikes it will be a fiddle .
So what does everyone else do with the cable?

I just wind it loosely round top tube in a spiral. Then unwind to take off.

Carefully wrap it tightly around your top tube in a tightly bound coil so that it creates some form of supercharged induction loop and sears straight through the tube!

I bundle the excess cable up using a sandwich bag tie then strap the battery to the underside of the stem putting the neat bundle of cable between the stem and battery, all neat and tidy.

I did have mine in the saddle bag and velcro straps along the top tube to make it tidy, but have now moved them to a triangle bag that sits in the frame at the seat end of the bike. Batteries are wrapped in sandwich bags and all the loose cable is stuffed into the triangle bag

I have those tiny panniers that sit on the top tube at the front. Lamp on the handlebars, batteries in the bag and only a short length of cable between battery and lamp.
