My Alfie the cat shows affection by biting your nose!
He will not drink from a bowl of clean water, he'll rather drink from a mossy bowl outside full of rainwater- or from the bath.

Several local cats come to drink from a bucket of rainwater in my garden. Apparently they don't like the chlorine (etc) in tap water.

That's not surprising though. Depends on what their diet is too - some drink a bit because they like dried food, some don't due to wet food.

We've got four and they all have their eating preferences. Three are sorted, one is deliberately awkward - will eat the premium wet occasionally, like the other fussy buggers, but want's premium dry food, or high cal, like Deamies. She's perfect weight for size but the other three that aren't food motivated. She wakes me up for food in the morning, the other three don't.

Look up 'Simons Cat' on youtube - but find the first illustration when the cat get's out the baseball bat. That's our Kyoto.

If you are 'butlers' to felines, you will know the youtube channel.

One of mine was obsessed with remote controls. Pick one up and he'd be jumping around all excited

Sometimes if lying on sofa unable to reach TV remote just say "Where's remote" and with great excitement it would be dropped on you. Fail to use it immediately and it would be picked up and dropped on you again.

Our last two cats were both telly addicts. Showed us up as a right dysfunctional household by insisting on having the telly on all the time. As soon as we got home Daisy (the white one) would jam herself up against the telly and meow over her shoulder until you turned the thing on. Her favourite programme was a documentary called "The Bear Family and Me" which we were never able to delete from our Sky recordings as she loved duffing up a chipmunk that arrived on screen predictably just after a bit of incidental banjo music that became the sound track of the house. She always recognised the presenter, Gordon Buchanan's voice whenever he appeared on any other documentary and would pester us to play her favourite scene even if it wasn't the right documentary. Archie would always sit behind her with his ears twitching alertly while she batted at the beastie on the screen. Sometimes the telly actually rocked as she caught that chipmunk with a left hook. (She was a southpaw). They both also liked sport. Particularly snooker, where the balls were moving around the screen and disappearing intriguingly from view.

Molly my Siamese keeps dunking her toys in her water bowl then of course has to pull them back out and drag water all over the kitchen floor. She can open the drawers too. Must try and video her. She reaches up and hooks her claws into the drawer then lifts her back legs and pushes against the cupboard and pulls until the drawer slides open. Then stuff gets tossed out.

Mine is a border terrier. For a terrier they at clever and in our case great at training humans.

My sister's dog is a border. When she was a puppy she'd steal things (pens, slippers etc) and take them behind a chair to chew them. She'd get a treat for releasing them.

As she got older it became more of a transaction, with no chewing. Steal thing, put behind chair. Demand treat for return of thing.

Harry-cat will only drink out of a glass never a bowl, means I can't have a glass of water by the bed! Grimy rainwater in a plant pot in the garden will do too as above.
He likes to chew my hair (plenty of it), assume it's an affectionate grooming thing!
He sits on the Sky mini box to look out of the bedroom window, presumably as it's warm under bum!
He hates the hoover, but doesn't mind the hairdryer these days.
