Bruce's habit is anxiety based, I think.

He goes everywhere with me, never gets left alone.

However, on those very rare occasions I'm out he self harms and pulls hair out of his buttocks, even if Mrs D remains home.

Solution is not to go anywhere without the daft sausage.

I've got Cats that would sooner sleep on the cold Slate tiles than in the 'Cat Beds' Maz keeps buying.
Also my old GSD was psychic, if I put my boots and coat on to go to the shops he didn't move but if I did exactly the same with the idea of taking him out he knew, this wasn't at specific times and I didn't do anything different, now if he'd got excited when I picked up the 'Dog Walking Bag' (containing Scooper and Bags, Ball. some treats and 'wet wipes' etc)

Bruce's other habits include...

Sleeping on his back with his balls on display.

Chasing squirrels.

Standing on his hand legs in the kitchen and scanning about for human food to steal.

Bringing a toy to the front door to show to any callers.

And attacking my feet if they're poking out of the duvet while I'm helping Mrs D find her missing contact lens.

Dog puts toys under furniture to spend several minutes kind of whimpering while trying to get it out again. Finally giving up and lying with her nose pointing towards it until we fish it out only for her to repeat.

She also walks to the end of the row of houses then looks left up the footpath to the back of the house as if to say go that way. She'll not move any way other than up the path. Unless it's nice, dry end warm. It's her bad weather route all 400m of it.

BTW she is more stubborn than any human can be.

Dilys is obsessed with lights, reflections and shadows. It’s worse indoors in the winter.

Cleo likes to mouth on a toy for hours whilst treading her front paws. Apparently it’s something to do with comfort suckling on her mother. She’ll be 7 next birthday!

Herbie has marvellous testicles!

The 'mouthing/treadling' is generally a sign that they were separated from mum too early before mum had the chance to chastise them from suckling
