What size mudguards

Hi.

My first post here.

I got a Cannondale hybrid bike on the cycle to work scheme a few years ago.
Didn't really use it much but have since been using it for the last few weeks to commute to work, due to having car issues.
I've been really enjoying it and can't see me returning to a car for work.
Since I find riding to work much more enjoyable and it doesn't really take any longer.

I'm a bit new to all this, and am looking to get a set of full mudguards for my bike to stop spray.

I'm a little confused to what size I should be buying.

If I measure from the floor to the top of my tyre it measures 700mm.
But the tyre has
28x1 3/8 x1 5/8

So what size are they?
And what size mudguards should I order.

Go to your local shop, they'll sell you the right ones and fit the buggers too!

Ref the commuting, wait until it's dark, peeing down and freezing and you get a fairy visit...then again you may still enjoy it despite the above!

Hi,

The wheels are 700C, like road bikes, but the tyres are fatter than road tyres.
Mudguards for 700C /28" hybrids/ tourers are the sort of thing you want.

e.g for these :

You'd want the 28" / 45mm.

But note the rear mudguard is not a full (to the BB) mudguard.
