What size bike frame?

Hi,

Looking at buying a new bike. Im 6ft1, and inside leg around 80cm (if ive measured it right). What size frame do I need?

All depends what type of bike you are buying, for a mountain bike generally a 19 inch frame, road bike 58/60cm frame, Hybrid 19 to 21 inch
Im 6'1 and these are the sizes that suit me, hope thats some help

Thanks for the reply! Yeah it is for a touring bike so obv I need something comfortable.

Do you have a LBS nearby? Where are you thinking of buying from? If so go along and get them to measure you up.

I dont have one nearby really, but I could just pop down in the car! The thing is im looking to buy online you see (for the cheaper price)...

Anyhow ive decided on the Dawes Vantage (http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Dawes-Vantage-2011-Touring-Bike_33048.htm) and I dont have much choice in sizes, but to be fair I think the 58cm will be ideal..?

I am 6'1" and I have a 58cm Specialized Secteur and it fits me really well. It's maybe better trying it then you could possibly ask for a different length stem if required.
