Hi

Been back on my first road bike since April, and after going longer and longer the soles of my feet were hurting (I was only wearing a flimsy pair of trainers!) so invested in a pair of these

B'TWIN - shoes

My feet no longer hurt and can now go further, but I now want to give clipless a try, however I have no idea what to get to fit these shoes.

Can anyone advise on what pedals and or attachments I need to fit these shoes.

Cheap and cheerful to begin with if possible please (in case it all goes wrong)

Many thanks for any help and advice

Hi Richard,

Pedals can be Shamano SPD-SL they should come with clips to fit to the bottom of the shoe, I think you can also use Time and Look pedals as well.

Standard SPD pedals will not work with this setup so make sure you steer clear of these.

Click here for Look at £44.99 (Basic pedals)

Click here for Shamano at £33.74 (Again basic pedals

You can go alot more expensive but if you are starting off try these and see how you get on with them first before going for a Carbon \ Titanium pedals which are alot lighter if you need to save weight.

Hope that helps

Ivan

I've got those very shoes. No complaints. You can use Look Keo or Shimano SPD-SL cleats. I bought Look Keo Easy pedals in Decathlon for £29.99 when I bought the shoes. They come with cleats so that's all you need. When I last looked Decathlon were selling Look Keo Classic pedals at a reduced price of £29.99. They are slight more sophisticated than the Easy pedals because they have adjustable tension (you can tighten up the clicking in an out action). Those would be a better buy if they're the same price as the Easys. You'll need a pedal spanner (15mm flat wrench) to remove your old pedals and an 8mm allen wrench to install the Looks. Some grease for the threads too. I've been very happy with the shoes and pedals since I got them but clicking in can still be troublesome at times. Good luck!
