I also take an allen key with me - most of the bolts on the bike seem to take the same size one, so i carry that with me - just in case!
If I'm out on a ride i don't take a lock as i don't tend to stop - bottle and bottle cage are more important - and a small topeak pump which the fitting for goes under the bottle cage.
I have a couple of locks for the bike, and if i DO need to take one with me, i have a fairly decent cable lock - it's quite long - which i put round my waist when i ride. It's not hugely heavy and tbh, i don't notice it when i'm cycling.
