Back in my teens and early 20's I was an avid cyclist. 25 + years later, I've come back to it and picked up a Cannondale CADD4 R100 in team yellow. Even though this bike is almost 20 years old, it is leaps and bounds better over my 1989 Cannondale. I have a question about another bike I want to pick up. What is the level looking thing coming out of the shifter in this picture? I just got used to using and maintaining the selectors I have.... Sorry. I feel that there is a huge learning curve ahead of me from what has improved all these years I was away.

The old Dura Ace 9 and 10 speeds could take the indicators. I always thought it was very weird that they were Dura Ace spec as I would be surprised that anyone investing in kit that expensive would feel the need for them.
