What is still an acceptable age to live with your parents?

How much do you need to earn to afford a house / rent?
Bit of an open ended question here.
Could you manage on 15k, 20k a year?

I left at 27 when I got married. I was all lined up to rent my own place 2-3 years before that, but then decided to get engaged and start saving to buy a house. Those 2-3 years drove me mad!

i left when i was 35. mostly down to finances and ex's. was with a guy from the age 28 to 32. violent fecker. was gonna move in with him but saw sense. only by this time house prices were through the roof and my wage didn't match.

didn't get a decent enough job until i was 34, bought a flat by 35. a lot of my friends still live with parents for the same financial reason.

i didn't mind living at home when i was 30, but when i got to 33 i started to feel funny about it, and a bit trapped.
