Probably not an age thing. My kids never watch TV it's either computer games or You Tube. Or social networking. I think TV as we know it will disappear in time.

I had pondered the possibility of a midnight bike ride but it's frosty here with a risk of ice so not worth it.

I don't have a TV and rarely listen to the radio as I usually listen to my own choices of music but decidex to take pot luck with what the radio stations want me to hear tonight. Unusually for me I am listening to classical music which is relaxing and suiting my mood.

I went out for an ride this evening. It felt quite symbolic getting some miles in on New year's eve. Almost 6k for the year felt quite satisfying for my feeble legs. Away from town up in the hills it was really nice to stop and see the stray fireworks being set off in the far distance.

New years eve was always the best night out of the year for me. But i dont like packed out pubs these days, so i'm staying in with a few beers. I would also feel bad going out and leaving my dog on his own, as he gets terrified of the firework explosions. There have been some horrendously loud ones going off occasionally for the past couple of hours, and it'll only get worse in the next couple of hours i expect.
TV is absolute garbage, cant find a single thing that appeals to me, or films i've not seen before. The PPV services must be getting some new subscribers after this poor Christmas & new year TV schedule. Think i'm going to get Netflix myself.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Not much different to what I'll be doing @tyred. Aside from the "go to bed before midnight", the fireworks will make that pointless.
Mrs ck insists we stay up till midnight and i think what is the point? its just another day .
