I think my cadence would have been below 80 on the Cleish Hill TT tonight, judging by my last go, did it in 7:40 tonight, I guess that would have still been below, but I guess I'm not a cyclist when compared to the excellent rides by my club members, in particular the winner 6:06 :becool:

Well done Adrian.

Cleish Hill TT - I hope the paramedics were on standby that sounds like a recipe for a heart attack!

I'd say you are 'beyond cyclist' ;)

When you are on a bike you are a cyclist, when you are not you're not.

Any other definition is pure snobbery.

I have to disagree with most, on this one. For me, a cyclist is somebody who is at least interested in bikes and or cycling. I would not class a workman riding a BSO along the pavement, with grossly under inflated tyres, as a cyclist.

edit: woo-hoo, 4000 posts!

I would agree with you on this one. They are actually classified as intellectually inferior homo sapiens usually referred to as numpties.

To me a cyclist is someone who loves nothing more than being on their bike, a true passion for it. I cycle occasionally, dad cycles to work for cost/fitness reason's, oldest son enjoys riding a bit, but my youngest is the one I would class as a cyclist as he truly has a deep passion for anything related to cycling, would be on his bike every minute of the day and alway's wanting to challenge himself to become better and better.
