What hybrid?

i am new to the cycling world, am looking for a hybrid, must be rugged yet comfy and lightweight. am i asking for much or there is something like that for £400, if so what brand name and model

I recommend looking at the Specialized Sirrus/ Sirrus Sport.

There are quite a few threads on this - but I'd go with Kona Dew / Dew Plus.

Stay away from front suspension at sub £400 bikes.

You can't go worng with a Specialized, nor in fact as op said, a Kona Dew. (I have both... so I am biased )
